As an integral member of a highly capable national risk management team, your key objective will be to partner effectively with various stakeholders to deliver the full range of OHS services.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced OHS professional with experience also in Training, Workers Compensation and Injury Management. You will demonstrate an effective influencing ability, along with a proactive, motivated approach that will ensure OHS plays an active role in the achievement of business objectives.
Specific duties include:
• Coordinate and drive OH&S improvements to the business • Assisting the business unit teams and ensuring a safe working environment • Educating and supporting the business unit teams in delivering best practices • Providing training and support initiatives to staff • Conduct compliance audits and gap assessments • Maintaining current safety management systems and procedures
Necessary skills and experience:
• Organisational skills • Ability to consult at all levels of staff • Strong working knowledge of the NSW OH&S Act • Capacity to train and coach personnel managers and supervisors • Exposure to behavioural based safety approaches
