Working autonomously, your key objective will be to partner effectively with business unit managers to provide SHE solutions that have practical, positive, business related outcomes. Culture and capability development, coaching, service delivery and strong relationship management most accurately reflect the true nature of this role. However, you will need the versatility to handle a full range of tasks including implementing action plans, training, injury management, collection and analysis of statistical data, and liaising with regulatory bodies..
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Administer the Health and Safety System for the site along with continuous improvement of system elements and safety performance.
2. Administer the Environmental Management System for the site, along with continuous improvement of system elements and maintaining environmental licences.
3. Provide advice, direction, documentation and representation to management on Health, Safety and Environment matters, especially with respect to system deficiencies.
4. Act as principal point of contact for government and customer representatives for matters relating to health, safety and environment.
5. Coordinate First Aid activities.
