As an integral member of a highly capable national risk management team, your key objective will be to partner effectively with various stakeholders to deliver the full range of OHS services. This is a hands-on role for an experienced OHS professional able to demonstrate an effective influencing ability, along with a proactive, motivated approach that will ensure OHS plays an active role in the achievement of business objectives. Specific duties include: • Developing and effectively implementing OHSE Strategy • Ensure proposed OHS initiatives are aligned with OHS improvement strategies. • Ensuring all team members receive relevant OHSE training. • Facilitating the HSE management program to ensure it meets relevant legislative requirements in relation to OHS. • Liaising with relevant OHS regulatory bodies. • Develop training plans to ensure a program of ongoing training is conducted. • Provide statistical data and generate monthly reports and ensure that Legal, Company and Corporate reporting requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner. Necessary skills and experience: • Tertiary qualifications in OHS or relevant discipline (minimum Certificate IV) • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment • Knowledge of relevant Victorian OHS and Workers Compensation legislation • Proven track record of HSE experience in construction/civil/mining/processing industries. • Experience in completing safety in design reviews / CHAIR / HAZOP or related quantitative risk management tools would be preferred
