Reporting to the National OHSE Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing, monitoring and implementing policies, site safety plans, a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply risk management strategies including safe work method statements and ensuring that those on site are OHS compliant. This is a hands on role in which you will be expected to consult, make recommendations, provide advice and be able to influence a strong safety culture across the organisation.
Only applicants with extensive civil / infrastructure experience on Roads and / or Bridges as an OHS Coordinator will be considered for interview. You will have a Certificate IV in OHS or the equivalent, knowledge, skills and experience and a sound knowledge of the OHS legislation and regulations on construction sites. You must have sound knowledge of the construction sector preferably working on commercial, high rise and/or infrastructure projects. You will also have demonstrated Microsoft Office skills especially in Outlook, Word and Excel. You must be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills in response to complex OHS issues and have the ability to develop positive workplace relationships.
