The company continues to grow and expand with this key role reflecting their commitment to the health and safety of all employees.
Working autonomously, your key objective will be to develop and implement OHS programs, policies and procedures that ensure compliance and facilitate continuous improvement. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Hazard identification and control • Incident investigations • Development of Safe Work Method Statements • Conducting OHS risk assessments • Documenting OHS procedures / processes • Assisting and advising the team to ensure a safe working environment
This is a hands-on role for a tertiary qualified and experienced OHS practitioner with the ability to deliver commercially practical solutions. In addition, you must demonstrate an effective influencing ability, along with a proactive, motivated approach that will ensure OHS plays an active role in the achievement of business objectives. Experience within an industrial or high risk environment will be highly regarded, as will an engineering or operational background. Competency in using Auto Cad will also be highly regarded, although this is not essential.
Being a newly created role, there is scope for the role to grow with the incumbent and as such, there is loads of career potential.
